The purpose of domiciliary care is to ensure you and your beloved family can receive the support needed, surrounded by the comforts of home. You can maintain your own routines – we work around your needs. Your contentment and well-being are the whole reason for our existence.
Domiciliary care provides support to people who want to stay in their own home but may need some help to do this. Domiciliary care services offer a wide range of assistance to enable people to live as independently as possible.
Professional carers visit you in your own home and help you maintain your own routines by supporting your needs in the areas of your lifestyle you need help with.
This may simply be helping you out of bed in the morning and getting washed and dressed for your day ahead. It may be more complex than that, requiring help with shopping, housework or managing your money.
Domiciliary care, often referred to as care at home, is increasingly becoming the option of choice for many families. Why? Residential care homes and hospital wards do an amazing job in sometimes difficult circumstances, but they don’t suit everyone. They can be noisy, disruptive and distressing for some people.
By opting for home care, families are more comfortable in knowing their loved one is being cared for with a level of one-to-one support designed to suit their needs. It puts care and support back in your own or your family’s control.
You get personal attention for as little or as long as you need. From half an hour to round-the-clock home care, from just once a week to several times a day or all day every day. We work with you to design your personal care plan around your own needs and wants.
We can lend a hand with light domestic duties. We can assist with housework and general day-to-day responsibilities (including dog walking), amongst many other things.
Our carers can help with personal care such as washing, dressing, bathing, and other personal care needs.
We can help with meal preparation – your preferred food cooked in your own home.
We can undertake a range of social care activities. Our carers can take you to church, the doctor or the shops – or can even go shopping for you.
We provide the reassurance of a night sitting service, so there is someone available within easy call if you need anything during the night.
We can make daily (or more frequent) telephone check calls to remind you to take your medication and check that all is well.
Domiciliary care is for those times when you might need extra help to stay in the comfort of your own home. Whether you have had a recent traumatic brain injury, or you have a long-standing neurological disorder such as Alzheimer’s or an autism spectrum disorder, domiciliary care will support you to stay in your home during times of need. Domiciliary care supports people through a short convalescence, a medium-term rehabilitation, or a long-term lifestyle need.
Our fully trained and experienced domiciliary carers can provide a range of home care. We work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. By communicating and working with your GP, social workers, and/or district nurses we want to ensure you are receiving the right level of care.
This is just a selection of the services we provide. If there is a service that is not listed that is of interest to you, please do get in touch and we will do our best to facilitate it. If you are happy with the care you currently receive but would like additional support which your current care arrangements do not cover, we can help too. We would be happy to work alongside your existing care arrangements and lifestyle to provide additional support as needed.
If you wish to receive care from us we will provide a personalized care plan that is tailored to your individual needs. We will also work with you to create a schedule so that you know exactly when a carer will visit. A start date can usually be arranged within a week so that you can get to know your carer as soon as possible.
